Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is an online action role-playing game that may be played with up to four players. It is set in the Forgotten Realms, the same world as the original Dungeons & Dragons. 

The Dark Alliance's heroes are found in Icewind Dale, an icy tundra in the Frozenfar region – Faerûn's northernmost province. Despite being somewhat of a successor to both Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Dark Alliance II, it also features characters from R. A. Salvatore's The Legend of Drizzt, a series of books.

Is Dark Alliance open world? 

Dark Alliance begins when the dungeon master says, "roll for initiative," therefore there is no actual role-playing in Dark Alliance. One may argue that this is a bad thing, given that the best part of D&D is role-playing. However, you do not have to be a D&D enthusiast to enjoy Dark Alliance. If you enjoy fantasy and combat, you don't need to know much about mythology to have a good time. 

As previously said, Dark Alliance is about the part of D&D that the average D&D player despises the most: combat. The designers did, however, work hard to make it enjoyable. It simulates the experience of playing D&D, but as well as the experience of envisioning warfare in D&D. Because this is not an open-world game, you will start at the hub and select a mission from there. 

Dark Alliance can take over 10 hours to finish due to the 21 missions, each of which can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour to complete. Overall, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance seems to be an excellent third-person high fantasy action game that can be shared with others.

Worth a look for D&D fans

There aren't many games like Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance so you may be getting a completely new and fun experience once you try it; while the Dark Alliance is distinct and original enough to keep you interested, much more must be done to keep you invested in the gameplay. Hopefully, the game's makers continue to improve the game and its finale.
